Quickly becoming world famous, Ritual Chocolate’s tiny factory and tasting room are worth a 20 minute stop.

Single origin, bean to bar, and made by Rocky Mountain locals (and clients), Ritual Chocolate is famous for their incredible flavor profiles. Try the S’mores, Mid Mountain Blend, or Bourbon Barrel aged bars for a few of our fav.’s

You can sample anything, and they make great coffee and hot chocolate. Their chocolate bar and is a feast for the senses.

And if you’re really a chocolate nut, you can schedule a tour of their factory in Heber City as well.

Welcome to one of the most magical spots in Utah. This is a beloved haunt of Celeste & Greg, and our very favorite staycation spot.

Robert Redford bought this property in 1969, and used it as an artist camp to hone scripts, plays, and films. These workshops grew into a place where artists could come for critique, camaraderie, and creative rejuvenation. Eventually, these retreats turned into The Sundance Film Festival.

Come take the ski lift up for a glorious hike or yoga class at the top of the mountains, make soap, silver, or throw pottery, eat farm to table fare in The Foundry Grill, or go for a full out critically acclaimed dining experience in The Tree Room among Redford’s personal art collection and a roaring fire.

If you don’t have time for these, have a drink in the rustic, legendary Owl Bar, where Celeste & Greg have spent some fun nights after The Bluebird Cafe songwriting series with some of our favorite songwriters.

The Homestead Crater in Midway is where Celeste & Greg got their scuba diving license. The only warm warm scuba diving destination in the Continental United States, this geothermal spring runs 96 degrees, so it’s a perfect spot for a fall soak.

Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater is hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property.

It’s a pretty magical looking environment, and great for relaxation and skin care. If you don’t want to swim or scuba, you can take a tour of it that includes its history and geology.

High West Saloon might be Park City’s coolest watering hole.

Take advantage of being in Park City during their “shoulder season” which means you might actually get into this bar.

Try their world famous whiskey, or the best Chicken Schnitzel in Utah. If you make it here for a drink, ask for Dorsey at the bar, and see if you can score a “Free Dorsey” bumper sticker. (If he’s there, it’s a great story).

Originally a mining town, Park City has had a strange rise to fame via The Sundance Film Festival, and is now beloved by both world class skiers, as well as film makers from all over the world.

With the leagues of pines and rugged mountains just beyond Main Street, as well as the uniform old world mining town architecture, it has a charm that’s difficult to resist.

Greg & Celeste have had many favorite dates and weekend strolls here. Make sure you walk into Gorsuch and go down the stairs to the fireplace, stuffed reindeer and giant sheepskin covered couches. it’s like wandering into a wormhole in the Swiss Alps.

The mountain driven art scene is worth the gallery walk, and the street boasts a truly great bookstore, complete with incredible hand written recommendations on current books.

Some of you will be staying here, but even for those that aren’t, we highly recommend coming to the St. Regis pool and taking a dip in the waterfall filled pools or hot tubs, and enjoying the stunning scenery.

You’re not going to get more beautiful mountains than the rugged Rocky Mountains of Utah if you ask us! Weather dependent, take a morning to check the All Trails app for a stunning mountain hike or walk.

And for those of you more adventurous, there are Fuzarri bikes to rent at The St. Regis, and we hear we may even be able to procure a family discount!

McPolin Farm Nature Trail is usually open year round. If you want to see the mountains but are too chilly, click below for a site that will provide up to date info. on mountain drives. Guardsman Pass is our favorite if open. You won’t regret it, or forget it, anytime soon.
